Why a micro four third camera ?

There are two reason – weight and price tag. Canon came out with very pricy mirrorless cameras and expensive lenses, and I wasn’t willing to spend that kind of money. Secondly, I wanted something much lighter than my trusty DSLR cameras and big lenses, something that I could carry for hours without feeling annoyed by the weight.  After weeks of research I decided to purchase the  Panasonic G9 together with a Lumix 100-300 mm lens. Both camera and lens weigh less than my Canon lens 100-400 mm mark II. Later I added a Lumix 14-140 mm for nature shots and the Panasonic Leica 100-400 mm for wildlife photography. But whenever I go for a walk with my dogs or do birding around the house I take the G9 and 100-300 mm with me because its a featherweight. 

Was it a good decision? YES
